Promoters For Christ (PFC)
Promoters for Christ is the Ladies Missionary Group of our church. Ladies of all ages get together at
7 P.M. on the second Tuesday of each month to help with various missions projects. Some of our projects are:
Missionaries: PFC supports numerous missionaries, both local and distant.
Our college kids: Snacks and small encouraging items are brought in to send to our college kids during the school year.
Backpacks: In the past, we have donated 15+ backpacks full of school supplies to needy Maple Valley students.
Military: We have collected and sent items needed by our military men and women in Iraq.
Adopt a Family: At Christmas, we have proveded coats, boots, clothes, and toys to needy families.
VBS: PFC ia a very important asset to our VBS program! Each year PFC makes VBS decorations and helps with the many time consuming details. For instance, in years past, PFC made hanging chili peppers, pinatas and confetti that hung throughout the church, cut 900+ pieces of curling ribbon, sorted 1500 Bible Buddies, etc., etc,. etc.! They also donated and tied together 20 fleece blankets that were sent to our missionary in Mexico for distribution to the children there.
Each evening is filled with fun and fellowship while we work on these projects. We also set aside a time to support each other in prayer. Many of the ladies participate in our optional Secret Pals. Of course, there is always FOOD! It costs nothing to join. There are no dues; however, an offering is taken each month to support our various projects.
